Missionary to Calabar, West Africa, in 1876. From her Scottish homeland she went armed with a relentless faith in Christ to take His Gospel message to Africa. Surrounded by warring tribes that were governed by witchcraft and barbaric rites, Mary nonetheless went where few dared to bring hope and light to the one Dark Continent. She was committed to breathing her last while charting new territory for the Lord.
